"I paint landscapes that capture the feeling of standing in a place that fills you with awe — where colour, movement, and light pull you in. Inspired by my travels, my work is a balance of energy and stillness, layering expressive brushstrokes with bold palettes."
As a kid, I loved art — but I never thought I was good enough to be an artist.
I was the child who coloured inside the lines, made the sun yellow and the grass green. But as I got older, I started comparing myself to others.
Self-doubt crept in, and by the time I finished school, I had convinced myself that art was just a hobby.
I went on to study something completely different and ended up in healthcare PR, which didn’t feel like me. I watched my friends thrive in their careers while I felt like a spare part. I never quite fit in.
Then, during COVID, I picked up painting again — almost by accident.
I started using colour and abstraction in a way that felt freeing: no rules, no pressure to make things “realistic.” And suddenly, I remembered why I loved creating in the first place.
The more I painted, the clearer it became: this is what I actually want to do. So, I took the leap. I left my job and started focusing on art seriously.
It was messy and scary (cue daily mini meltdowns), but I’d rather take a chance on something I love than stay stuck in something that made me miserable.
Now, I create landscapes inspired by my travels — art that captures that breathtaking moment of being somewhere awe-inspiring.
Whether it’s a sunset to romanticise, a quiet moment to enjoy, or a vivid memory from a hike, my goal is to make you feel something.
(And yes, I also almost drink paint water on a regular basis.)
